1975 -- A three-person sound crew recorded the cheering and yelling of a Razorback basketball game on this day to use as background sound for action sequences in Rollerball, a movie starring James Caan and scripted from a short story by William Harrison, a professor of English at the University of Arkansas.

- The first history of the University of Arkansas included more than a dozen photos of the campus as it appeared just after the turn of the century. Most of the buildings are no longer standing, and nearly all of those that do remain are used in new capacities.
