Built in 1904 by contractor Albert Byrnes for $22,500, the Engineering Hall was southwest of Old Main on the University of Arkansas campus. After the new Engineering Hall was built in 1927, this building was renamed Commerce Hall and used for business classes. In 1940, Ozark Hall was built and eventually joined to Commerce Hall on the left side of this photo. The Engineering Hall was torn down in 1988. The photo for this card was taken by Burch Grabill. It was postmarked on January 24, 1911, and addressed to Mrs. A Rulh of 15 West Peckham, St Buffalo. It reads: “dear friend I havent hurd from you since you sent the pitcures rote you a card rite away as soon as they came. hope you are not sick.
