Occasionally, historical researchers will come across the names of streets in Fayetteville that no longer exist on the maps. Streets that are platted are not necessarily built; when two streets align, often one name is extended and the other is lost. And occasionally, the city council changes the name of a street.
This list includes names of streets that have been changed to new names as well as streets that were platted or built and later abandoned. It is not a comprehensive list, but we're adding as we go.
The former name of the street is followed by the current name of the same street where applicable and known.
