The Book of Lists is intended to be both whimsy and substance with relation to the history of Fayetteville, Arkansas: Whimsy in that we'll consider almost any list to be worth the paper upon which it is printed (a list of shoe shops is not beneath us; a list of airlines not beyond us), and substance in that we hope to give readers a starting point in their own research. None of the lists below should be considered complete. We try to make them so, but we aren't foolish enough to believe they are so. If you recognize something missing from a particular list, or if you want to suggest a list, please e-mail it to us.

University Buildings
- The first history of the University of Arkansas included more than a dozen photos of the campus as it appeared just after the turn of the century. Most of the buildings are no longer standing, and nearly all of those that do remain are used in new capacities.
