Among the most pastoral and romantic views in Fayetteville is the one across the lawn in front of Old Main on the University of Arkansas campus, looking toward the city’s downtown. Church spires and courthouse towers still grace the skyline near the square, but they compete today with ever taller buildings on the horizon. Postally unused, this card was printed by the Albertype Company of Brooklyn, New York, for the University of Arkansas Book Store, circa 1920.
